I think you;re wrong about the number rebelling tonight, I suspect that Blair will have a majority of the Labour vote and won&#039;t need tory MP&#039;s votes to carry. What is in play is whether a majority of the non-payroll vote will back the PM. That&#039;ll be close, though I think it&#039;ll actually be about the same size as last time- and possibly a tiny amount smaller.

		<description>Cook certainly makes a very good rallying point, but I doubt anyone could see Tony Blair surviving as party leader if parliament voted against him.  It&#039;s fine to play down a leadership challenge, but would Tony want to lead a party that voted against him on this?  I don&#039;t think so, and I&#039;m sure most of his party MPs will think the same.</description>
